Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Fantasy Football Chat ("FFC," "we," "us," or "our") collects and uses information when you use fantasyfootballchat.org, our Discord community, and our Discord bots — including Nocturne and related FFC Discord automation (together, the "Services"). Nocturne is part of FFC. It does not have a separate privacy policy.

Questions: fenix@fearandesire.com.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may process:

  • Account and auth data — email, Discord ID and username, and related identifiers through Clerk and Discord OAuth.
  • Tournament and preference data — season registrations, rankings, league assignments, notification preferences, and optional Sleeper identifiers you connect.
  • Discord bot data — Discord IDs, usernames, and guild/channel context needed to deliver roles, invites, digests, and other bot messages.
  • Communications — messages you send us (email or otherwise).
  • Technical and log data — request metadata (such as IP address and user agent), error reports, and server logs used to run and debug the Services. Email addresses and other identifiers may appear in logs during support, debugging, or incident response.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Operate the site, tournaments, and Discord integrations
  • Authenticate you and keep accounts secure
  • Send email for tournament operations, community notices, and related account messages
  • Contact you about tournament participation, and occasionally about promotional or community partners relevant to FFC
  • Debug, monitor, secure, and support the Services (including logging identifiable attributes when needed)
  • Improve reliability and prevent abuse

We do not sell personal data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade email lists.

When we share information

We share information with service providers that help us run the Services — for example authentication (Clerk), email delivery (Resend), hosting, databases, error monitoring, and Discord. We may also share information as needed for tournament operations or occasional promotional/community partners when that contact is relevant. That is not a sale of personal data.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a reorganization of the project.

Your choices

  • Adjust email and Discord notification preferences in your account settings where available.
  • Use unsubscribe links in emails when we provide them, or email fenix@fearandesire.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion.

Retention and security

We keep information as long as needed to operate tournaments, maintain accounts, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, but no online service is perfectly secure.

Children

The Services are intended for users who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

International users

We operate primarily in the United States. If you use the Services from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and other places where our providers run.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
